Our little girl arrived promptly on her due date, February 9th. We love this little girl so much! 

This precious little babe was born 14 weeks early, so even though he is 7 weeks old in these photos he is still in the NICU. However, he is doing AWESOME and is clearly a fighter, and very strong!  His parents asked me to come capture the memories of his first few months after his arrival, because even though it was tough, they feel lucky he is doing so great!

We learned quite a bit about hospital sessions this last week...as we were in the hospital ourselves with our little girl! First, I cannot believe how you moms are ready for photos so soon...I'm amazed!  You all look so put together, whereas I felt I was hanging on just barely for these :) We tried to take a few photos at the hospital, as I know how special it is and it is time that you will never have again with your newborn.  Meet Lorelai Isabelle our newest member of our family! 

This is my sweet little niece Aviana! She was born in July, and we were so excited to go visit her at the hospital for her first photo shoot. We got photos of the grandparents and family holding her for the first time. It was a long day for mom and baby, but we did get to go see her finally at about 10:00 at night, and revisit the next morning to continue her session! Such a cutie! 

Sweet little Baby E was born last week, and I loved coming to visit her in the hospital to capture her first few hours of life! This little girl is going to be so loved by her parents and big sister! 

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet little girl when she was just 4 hours old! We were so glad we got to capture big sister's first moments meeting her little sister, and hold her for the first time! I'm sure there will be so many other first, but we can't wait to capture each milestone in this little sweetheart's life! 

What is a Fresh 48 session? Well if you're expecting, these are some of the my client's favorite photos! Fresh 48 means that we photograph when the baby is "fresh" (within the first 48 hours of birth).  I come to visit you, camera in hand, and take photos of you and your little one as a celebration of bringing life into the world.  These are not a traditional newborn session where there are lots of poses, props and lights. These are designed to capture your baby's first moments in a natural way! We keep it all very simple and embrace the surroundings of your baby's birth. There are treasured details like hospital bracelets, that we make sure to leave in the photos.    Location: The session will take place wherever you give birth, whether that is a hospital, home, or birthing center.
