Sadie- 1 Year

I cannot even begin to tell you how much fun I had with Sadie this Sunday! She will be 1 year old very soon...and she was giggly and happy all during her session. Sadie came to me to the in-home studio. She was moving all over the place, but we managed to capture her personality in each shot! This girl is precious!

Baby Lila

Sweet little Lila was just 10 days old on Sunday when I came to visit her and her family! We had one of my favorite style of sessions, the home session! These are special sessions, where I come to your home and take photos in the space you feel comfortable. I've been photographing the E family for a few years now, and I loved that they asked me to take photos of this precious baby girl! Look at how proud her big brother is!!

Tips for Better Cell Phone Photos

This is a post for all you moms out there that are looking for a few easy tricks to taking better photos of your little ones on your smartphone! As you may know, I don't have little humans running around our place, so I decided to use my favorite subjects...our too cats! Meet Lady Grey and Gallifrey!  Here are a few useful tips to learn to take better cell phone photos of your little ones!  Try different angles. Get down to their level, make them look all the way up at you. Try something new! You don't always need to just take a photo straight on!  Face them towards a light. If possible use natural light. Phones aren't great with backlighting, that is sitting a subject we're behind them is your primary light source. Photographers can shoot directly into the sun, phone's not so much. Try placing them towards a window or opening the front door.  (left photo with the light behind Lady Grey, right photo where she is looking at the window)

S Family

The S family came to me this weekend for a quick mini  session for holiday cards! These two twins did awesome and rocked their session! We enjoyed some of the last of the green leaves and grass for this session!

s family

I've been photographing the S family every 3 months since the maternity pictures about 7 months ago! This time, we were able to capture photos in their brand new home! They made it a holiday themed session, which is so special for them! I've loved seeing this little guy grow up!
