The F Family

This couple was so much fun!! They are new to Omaha, and moved here this summer after getting married. He is a new professor in town, and they both are taking it upon themselves to explore the glories of Omaha.

She is a very good, very popular blogger. Check her out here: http://girlgoneveggie.com/
I've lived here off and on for 20 years, and in a few short months she has found so many neat Omaha places I didn't even know existed!

Her blog will be doing a giveaway soon for a free photo session with me! So make sure to check her out.

They are just precious right?! What a fun couple. Looking forward to meeting up with her again at a blogging event!

The J Family

Now this is one good looking family! Rachel has been one of my good friends for quite sometime. When we both lived in Lincoln while we were in school we actually spent one summer sharing a farmers market booth. She is fantastic, a wonderfully artsy individual who I envy for all of her great talents! Her family is just as wonderful! First, I'm always impressed when little boys do well in photo shoots. We had lots of great smiles, and very few bribes from mom to keep them in a good mood :)  I was so excited when they asked me to photograph their family for a Christmas card. We had a wonderful day at the park, I wouldn't even call it work!

Zavier- 1 year

This weekend was the last of Zavier's photos for his first year! I've been photographing this little guy every couple months since he was in his mommy's tummy....and it has been so fun to watch him grow! The basketball themed photo shoot this weekend was the perfect way to celebrate turning one year old!

Lens Investment

I regularly have clients that come to me asking what equipment they should invest in to take better photos. Many families now have an SLR camera (single lens reflex...one of those cameras where the lenses are screwed off/on and the mirror inside makes a click sound when you take a photo). One of the best investments you can make after buying an SLR, is a good prime lens. Now, you may not know this, but I shoot with Canon. Typically photographers are either Canon or Nikon...and the equipment is not interchangeable . If you are a Canon user, I suggest you invest in a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens . This lens runs around $120, and is fabulous. It is one the cheapest (if not THE cheapest) Canon lens you can buy. It is fabulous and you'll still find me using it on occasion.  Here are a few examples of photos I've taken with that lens.  It is also the first lens I would suggest that you purchase if you're looking to try to shoot in Manual Mode. It gives yo...
